I've heard so many different stories about how Balboa got started. Are any of them true?

06/09Well from my understanding began at a place on Blaboa Island (can't remember the name of the ballroom) when the floors became so crowded that you couldn't do anything but be right up against your partner.
Once Bal started it was always a closed position dance and if you opened up in anyway you would be asked to leave the floor. From there came Bal-Swing with all the opening up.
